Fixing Internet Connection Problems In Windows 7

Internet connectivity issues arise not only due to the faults with the ISP provider but also owing to faulty settings in your computer. In most of the Windows computers, you can find Internet connection troubleshooter to resolve internet connectivity issues. The internet connection troubleshooter in Windows 7 is more advanced and extremely helpful while troubleshooting internet connectivity problems. Work out the below directions if you are currently facing any internet connectivity issues in your Windows 7 computer.

  • Navigate to the Start button present on the bottom left corner of the desktop, and select Control Panel from the resulting Start menu.
  • Locate the heading labelled System and Security and select the link Find and Fix Problems.
  • This will display a troubleshooting window now on the screen.
  • Find the heading titled Network and Internet in the window and select the link beneath the heading that says Connect to the Internet.
  • Do not assume that you would now be connected to Internet. Instead, you will find a new window titled Internet Connection troubleshooter on the screen.
  • Press on the Next button to continue.
  • Select the option that says Troubleshoot My Connection to the Internet.
  • If you have confronted with any trouble or error message while trying to access a particular web page, select the other option that says Help Me Connect to the Internet.
  • Read the instructions displayed in the troubleshooter window carefully. Follow the on-screen instructions to continue.
  • After completing the instructed steps, click on the Close button to finish the process.
According to OmniTech support reviews, if you are using a broadband Internet access, most connectivity issues are triggered by local network. Check whether your modem or router is in good condition. If they are faulty, you may have to replace them with good ones.

In some cases, the router or modem would be rented. If your internet connectivity issues are caused by such faulty modems, you could rightly request your ISP to replace them. OmniTech support reviews say that often internet connection problems occur due to temporary technical problems with the ISP. If you face any connection error, contact the ISP to verify whether the issue is triggered by any technical failure with the ISP.

If none of the above steps helped you fix the problem, browse through the OmniTech support pages to find out answers that are more apt to your problem.
