Instructions For Creating A Windows Live Messenger Account

The Windows Live Messenger is an instant messaging client that allows the users to keep in touch with their friends and family using instant chat, video and audio calls across the internet. You would need to have a Windows Live account for using the messenger program. Follow the simple instructions given below for creating an account with Windows Live.

• Open the web browser by double clicking on the desktop shortcut icon and then navigate to the Windows Live help home page. 
• Look for the option named Sign Up in the window and then click on it for creating a new account in the Windows Live site. 
• In the new window that appears, type in your email address or type in a new Windows Live email address.
• Now type in the password you would like to use with the account in the text box found next to the option Password. The password may be entered with alphanumeric characters and should have a minimum length of six characters. Keep in mind that the longer the password you choose, the more secure your account will be. 
• Select the country in which you reside from the drop down menu found next to the option and then enter the state. Also select your gender from the drop down menu and then enter the captcha characters in the box provided for it. 
• Put a check mark in the check box found next to the option named I accept for creating the Windows Live id. 
• If you would like to add more personal information in the account like your hobbies, likes and dislikes, click on the option named Edit Profile. After you are done entering all the details in your account, visit the Windows Live help downloads page for downloading the Windows Messenger application. Click on the link named Get Messenger for downloading the application into your computer. 
• Click on the downloaded file for installing the Messenger program in your system. After the installation is completed, restart the system for making the process complete. 
• Open the Windows Live messenger and then enter your Live id and password in the respective fields to log in to your account.
