Steps To Remove Google Toolbar From Internet Explorer

Toolbars are generally browser add-ons that provide a convenient and user-friendly browsing experience to users. These may be present as a series of buttons in the browser, each having a different functionality. When you click on a specific toolbar, it may also direct you to a certain website that it represents. Here, you would be provided with the search results on the topic you were looking for. Such toolbars mainly represent search engines such as Google and Yahoo!

The Google toolbar is a similar browser add-on, which enables you to search for content while browsing the web. Once you click on the Google toolbar, you would be able to search for news, images and videos, etc. The best aspect of this toolbar is that you search for anything without having to navigate to the Google website every time. But the inherent problem is that it may also replace your browser’s default home page to Google.

Use the following instructions to remove Google toolbar if you find this option irritating:
  • In the first step, you need to log on to your computer using the admin user account, and then close all the running Internet Explorer windows if any one of them is still running.
  • Next, you need to open Windows Task Manager, and then remove these associated processes still running in background, such as Google Toolbar Broker, Google Toolbar Notifier, and two Internet Explorer.
  • Now, you need to open Control Panel or the Start menu, and then type the Uninstall a Program option.
  • Now, you need to search and find the option below Google Toolbar for Internet Explorer. You can find this in the available list of Programs and Features. Now, you need to open Uninstall option.
  • Once you have completed this step, the Google Toolbar would be removed from your browser. Once it is over, you need to close the page by the name Toolbar has been uninstalled page. Now, refresh the Windows programs list.
  • You need to save the option and then restart your computer. Now, you can log back into your admin account, restart the Internet Explorer and check if the Google toolbar has been removed.
